The first year of working I managed the studio 6 days a week in turn learning how to engineer by John Scott himself. Now engineering for the past three years full time. Sammy is a bilingual Engineer and producer with his heart focused on bringing detail to your record at Phoenix Down Recording. Sammy was born in the South Shore of MA, with Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage making him fluent in Spanish as well as English. Sammy grew up a hip hop head, producing and recording for his friends in his bedroom at 16, and soon after gravitated towards RnB and Pop. Sammy's study in the production of pop music grew with the music he studied in college. Sammy has a bachelor's degree in Music Industry from Northeastern University, expanding his network of A&Rs, Managers, Songwriters and Session musicians to connect his clients with people in the industry and connecting Northeastern Producers to Phoenix Down. During his time in college, Sammy recorded and mixed countless Rock, Pop, and Hip Hop records for Northeastern artists, artists in the Boston Music Scene, and toured briefly with a local funk band as a percussionist. Marko (22) is an enthusiastic producer/engineer who specializes in the genres of Hiphop, RnB, and Pop. After studying for a year at Belmont University’s school of Music and taking an extensive amount of courses in ear training/music theory, he transferred back to MA and finished his degree at Umass Lowell while interning at Phoenix until hired in October of 2019. He enjoys the songwriting process such as arrangement and tracking harmonies/layers as well as building out instrumentals from scratch. The most important part of his creative process is absorbing knowledge from others and taking direction to help artists create the best possible song they can.
Josh Schofield, also known as Scho, is an audio engineer who grew up in North Shore MA and specializes in Drill, Pop, and Alternative music. He has been passionate for music since freshman year of high school, and has been working professionally in music for 3 years. Scho has proven success working with vocalists and producers around Boston, Los Angeles, and Miami. He is confident, energetic, and easy going with a drive to provide the best quality music for all of his clients.
